Sometimes I have good ideas. Other times the ideas I think are good actually turn out to be bad ideas. Last weekend I decided to paint the letters and shelves for Noelle’s bedroom. It was like 100 degrees here so I thought it would be a good time to do it. I was going to spray them so I started laying out paper and a cardboard box so I wouldn’t get paint everywhere.
I didn’t want to get paint all over my hands so I decided to wrap my hand in a plastic bag.
Since it was so hot I didn’t think about it being windy. That’s when my good idea didn’t turn out so great. I taped the paper and box down keeping it from blowing away. I started spraying. It crossed my mind that the wind was blowing the paint towards me and I started really feeling the effects of the paint fumes. Did I stop, Nope. I just kept on going. At the end my hand looked like this
The plastic bag on my hand… a good idea. Spray painting in the wind not such a good idea. I went inside to wash my hands and when I looked at myself I noticed that I had red paint all over my clothes, arms and legs. It’s a good thing that Noelle was sleeping so I could jump in the shower and get the paint off before it dried. I wish I could have taken a picture of myself. Lesson learned… spray painting in the wind… not brilliant!!!!
Here are the finished products.
