Great America

I can’t believe that the summer is already over.  It sure went by fast! As our last fun summer activity before Thomas and Noelle went back to school we decided to go to Great America.  When we arrived we couldn’t believe how empty the park was.  It was a Monday in July and no one was there.  We were able to get on several of the rides without waiting in any kind of line and were able to ride them more than once without having to get off.

To my delight the park had changed owners and now the Peanuts Gang is there.

100_0941100_1049We thought it would be smart to go on a water ride first so we would have time to dry off.  We choose Rip Roaring Rapids to go on first.  I got drenched going down the first rapid.  Dave was completely dry until we got stopped where people could pay to have us sprayed.

100_0940It was all over from there so we just went on twice.  Thomas, Dave and I were soaked from head to foot.  Noelle wasn’t tall enough so she and Kelly were lucky and were able to stay dry.

Dave was a good sport and rode the kiddie rides with Noelle and Thomas…..twice.

Thomas and Noelle were so good and enjoyed riding the rides together!

Dave took Thomas on one the the quickest and scariest rides I have ever seen! Kelly and I were surprised that Thomas had agreed to go on it but he did really good and wanted to go again.

I took Noelle to ride Sally’s Love Buggies and we found Snoopy.
