Progress is being made

I’m trying to do stay on target with the goals that I set a few weeks ago and since I need to held accountable I thought I would share with everyone my success and failures up to this point.

1. Complete my Photoshop course by the end of March.

That was planned to do today but the motivation wasn’t there. Good thing I have 2 1/2 months left.

2. Exercise at least 3 times a week.

I think I have exercised 3 times since the beginning of the year. This is a new week right?

3. Cook dinner for myself (other than eggs, popcorn or a bowl of cereal) at least once a week.

This one has been totally successful! A few good meals have come from my kitchen.

4. Learn to say “NO” and not feel guilty about doing it.

I totally said “NO” to helping with a presentation at work last week and I can’t tell you how wonderful it felt and how happy I was with myself!!!

5. Learn to sew with my new sewing machine and complete 3 projects.

Well…. I have practiced. Does that count?

6. Become more patient.

Last weekend I had a lot of patients….

7. Take Buttons for a walk more often (that wont start until the weather is better. LOL)

The weather still isn’t nice. Open-mouthed smile

8. Read a magazine and feel free to throw it out when I am done.  I have some weird thing about wanting to hold on to them.

I have read three magazines and they all went into the recycle bin.  I still have a huge stack to get through

9. Not buy another pen, pencil, marker, crayon or post it note until the ones I have are gone. (those of you that know me know that this is going to be the most difficult one to work on)

I haven’t purchased a single office supply

10.  Organize the mail the day I get it and not let the junk mail take over my desk.

As week speak there isn’t a stack of mail sitting in front of me but that’s because I just cleaned off my desk.  I’m doing much better but it isn’t mastered.

11. Blog at least once a week even if I don’t have something special to talk about.

Your reading this so I guess I’ve got this one done.

12. Read the calendar and publish the holiday of the day. It always puts a smile on my face.

I have successfully done this everyday except two and that’s because one of them was “play Jesus day” and I didn’t like that and today is Martin Luther King Jr.’s B-day and everyone already knows that

13. Be happy/content with what I have and remember how hard I worked to get where I am.

This one has been a little harder.  I really want an ipad  and I still don’t have it so I’m doing good…. even though it would be fabulous to be bad.

So, over all 15 days into it and I think I’m doing alright.
