Kelly decided that it was time for Karly to give up her “fire” while I was in Idaho visiting Christina. It was probably a good idea for her to do that because I’m not sure I could’ve followed through. Although I did agree with her that it was time, I’m just glad it wasn’t me doing it.
So they headed to the craft store to buy some supplies for Karly to make her special box for the Fire Fairy and got to work.
Once she was done she found all of the fires and put them in her special box and placed by the front door. That night the Fairy came and took all the fires and left a special gift for Karly.
Karly was so excited about the gift coming that surprisingly there were no tears about not having her fire when she went to bed that night.
The next morning she was thrilled to see that the Fire Fairy brought her one of her favorite things, a flashlight. It wasn’t just any flashlight, it was a Hello Kitty flashlight.
The Fire Fairy project was a success!!!
*When Thomas was little he couldn’t say “pacifier” instead it came out like “fire” so ever since then it’s been called a “fire” at our house. A little odd but it works.*
