Since Kelly had to work this weekend we decided to celebrate Mother’s Day next weekend. So, mom and I decided to take the kids to the Mother Lode Round Up. It was hotter than I think that it has been in a very long time but the kids had a blast. I hope we can do this again next year. We stayed downtown in Sonora so we wouldn’t have to walk to far for the parade in the morning.

The kids watched the horses and band members walking down the street before the parade started.
Then we just walked around the corner just in time for the parade to start.
This parade by far was the longest one I have ever seen. The kids had a blast even in the heat!!!
After the parade we went and had lunch at Grandma’s high school.
Then we went back to the hotel played some games and took a nice nap. We finished up our weekend with with an ice cream cone.
