As many of you know I have been working on a scrapbook for Kelly’s 30th birthday. I went through all of her baby pictures, baby book, school records, and a box full of stuff that she has kept of pictures, certificates, letters, cards, you name it, it was there. I had such a fun time putting it together. There were so many times that I wanted to tell her because I found a cute picture that brought back a memory or was just funny. Other times I would be sitting in my living room cracking myself up at pictures that I found where someone had the worst hair, a crazy expression on their face, whacked clothes on, etc. I must admit though it took me much longer than I thought that it would. Trying to keep her away from my house and out of the room where I was keeping things was the most difficult part of the whole project. She would call and say that she wanted to come by and visit with me or she wanted to sleep here while work was be done at her house and I would have pictures and scrapbooking stuff everywhere so I would have to come up with some lie about what I was doing. She moved from Escalon to Stockton while I was in stress mode (when I thought I wouldn’t get it done in time) and I hardly spent any time helping her to pack or unpack. I was really worried that she would be upset with me for not helping but I knew she would understand when she got the books. I took three days off work over the past few months to work on it and last Friday night I pulled my last all nighter . I finished what was only suppose to be one book but turned into two Saturday morning. It was such a great feeling and I couldn’t wait to give it to her!!! My plan was to take some pictures of some of the cute pages but I ended up putting the bows on without taking the pictures. I will have to do that another time. We celebrated her birthday tonight and I was finally able to give it to her. I think that she liked it.
